Your screen is rarely as private as it seems. In crowded trains or shared workspaces, messages and verification codes often appear in full view of people around you. Your instinct may be to angle your screen away from your neighbour’s view or quickly switch apps. With the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, you don’t have to.

Its privacy display can automatically mask sensitive details from side angles – such as passwords or incoming notifications – while keeping the rest of your screen bright and easy to read. You can continue replying to messages, scrolling through emails or watching a video without having to worry about unwanted onlookers.

Unlike stick-on privacy protectors that can darken or mute colours, this feature is built directly into the device. It shields only the most sensitive areas or is limited to certain apps, leaving everything else easy to see. Or you can choose to protect the entire screen from prying shoulder-surfers – the choice is yours.

It’s one of several features on the Galaxy S26 Ultra designed to prioritise privacy. Built as a “true” AI phone, the Galaxy S26 Series – which includes the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra – pairs next-generation Galaxy AI with hardware designed to handle everyday demands such as delivering sharp photos and handling intensive tasks such as streaming, gaming or editing on the go without missing a beat.

Intelligent privacy by design

Privacy, however, goes beyond what appears on the screen.

Behind the scenes, Samsung Knox, a defence-grade security platform built into the phone’s hardware and software across the entire Galaxy S26 Series, helps protect your data from the system level. From messages and call logs to saved passwords and personal files, sensitive information is safeguarded even as AI features work across different apps.

You may not notice this protection as you use your device daily but it quietly helps ensure your device remains secure as you go about your day.

That same hardware are the elements that help give you the confidence to allow you the freedom to capture and document the world around you.

At the core of the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s imaging system is a 200MP camera designed to preserve fine detail and clarity. With 47 per cent more light intake and an enhanced image processing capability, photos and videos taken in low-light conditions appear brighter and cleaner, with smoother details. This enhanced image processing now also extends to the front-facing selfie camera, allowing skin tones and finer details like hair to be captured more accurately, even under mixed lighting.

Whether capturing night skylines, indoor gatherings or spur-of-the-moment scenes, the camera produces images that are sharp, vibrant and true-to-life.

For videos, vertical stabilisation helps keep footage steady while you walk or film on the move, producing smoother results without additional equipment.

The super steady video feature, together with the new horizontal lock feature, goes one step further by keeping footage level even if the phone is rotated through 360-degrees. The result is videos that look smoother and more polished, whether you’re recording a concert, filming a travel moment or capturing a lively gathering with friends. The wider aperture on the main 200MP camera also helps keep colours vibrant even in low light.

Because the images are captured with such precision, they also provide an excellent starting point for the next stage of the creative process.

Editing made simple

Taking a good photo is only the first step. The Galaxy S26 Series makes it easy to adjust and reimagine what you have captured. You can remove unwanted objects and even add details back in. Restore a missing element, try on an outfit without visiting a store by combining images, or adjust a backdrop from night to day with just a few taps.

There is no need to learn complicated editing tools. Simply sketch or type what you would like to see added, and the phone applies the change.

The result is editing and creating that feels intuitive rather than technical. Galaxy AI also opens up new creative possibilities. You can generate personalised sticker packs for sending to friends, or create your own wallpapers using photos and designs generated directly on the phone. What once required specialised apps or advanced editing skills can now be done in moments with a mere text prompt.

From shielding sensitive information on the Privacy Display to the security afforded by Samsung Knox, you can use Samsung’s latest AI Phone with confidence. From capturing clearer photos and videos even under challenging lighting conditions, the Galaxy S26 Series shows how AI software and hardware work together to enhance everyday experiences. And if you want to experiment further, Galaxy AI can also unlock more creative possibilities

Intelligent software may shape what the phone can do. But it is the camera, processor and security systems beneath it that make those features easy to use. The experience is not defined by any single function – but by how everything works together, so checking a message, taking a photo or making a quick edit feels simple and natural.
